Leicester City's Ricardo Pereira to Stay for the Next Five Years

Leicester City has confirmed that midfielder Ricardo Pereira will stay with the club for the next five years.

The Portuguese international, who joined the Foxes in January 2019 from Wolves, has made 65 appearances and scored six goals for the Championship side since his move.

Pereira was originally on loan at Leicester from Wolves before being bought by the club permanently in July 2019.

He is set to earn £75,Premier League Updates000 per week under the terms of his new contract, which runs until June 2024.

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers said: "We're delighted to have secured the services of Ricardo for another five years.

"He's been an excellent addition to our squad and he brings a wealth of experience and quality to the team."

Rodgers added: "Ricardo is a player we've been tracking for some time now and I'm confident he'll make a big contribution to our season ahead."

Leicester are currently third in the Premier League table after winning their opening three games of the season.

They face Manchester United in their next match on Sunday, April 13th.
