Leicestershire Football Club legend Jamie Valdi has been remembered as one of the greatest footballers to ever play for the county, having won numerous accolades and titles throughout his career.

Born on January 18th, 1956, Jamie began his professional footballing journey with Nottingham Forest, where he made his debut in the Football League. He then moved on to join Nottingham Forest again, making over 200 appearances for the club before moving to West Bromwich Albion, where he spent four years.

In 1984, Jamie was signed by Manchester United on a free transfer, becoming one of the most valuable players at the club during his time there. He scored 17 goals in 23 games for United, cementing himself as one of the greatest midfielders of all-time.
